Ridiculous Domain Name Prices at Ebay

Million Dollar Domain Names For Sale on Ebay

Million Dollar Domain Names For Sale on Ebay

I question myself why some Domainers list their domain names on Ebay for ridiculous prices, like for example I was just browsing the Ebay Domain Name listings and I ticked the dropdown box to list the domain names from highest price first descending to the lowest prices and as usual there are pages and pages of domain name listings starting with a  buy now price of $21 Million Dollars.

I am very used to seeing domain names listed on ebay for multi millions of dollars, and I guess you are also.

Maybe these domainers are just hoping that some filthy rich arab sheik who has no idea about the price of domain names may just buy their name. Yeah right!

I honestly cannot answer this question of why domainers list their $10 dollar domain names for 21 million dollars , but my guess is most of these domainers are domain newbies and are new to the industry or are just living outside of reality.

But then again there are some good names which I just saw on ebay, but the owners are again asking millions for their name, such as

  1.
    1. MRX.COM
    2. WVP.COM

Why not list those 3 character lll.com domain names for ten thousand dollars, not 21 million dollars, maybe then they would get some interest … that is if they really own those domain names.

Surely they must know that no one will be interested and just scroll past the name, or maybe people will look at the full listing just out of curiosity and scratch their head like I do. The domainers who list these domains are just wasting their money by paying the ebay listing fees, or fees for their featured listings and just wasting space on ebay.

Ebay should take control of listings like these and even moderate high figure domain name listings and weed out the domain names which are just listed at prices that don’t make sense, but I know ebay won’t because they make money from these listings.

These absurd domain name listings deter other serious domain name owners like myself from listing their good domain names on ebay. It also ridicules the domain name industry, serious domain name owners and other domain name investors.

Domain Name Investors such as myself who browse through these ebay domain name listings and see these high prices for domain names that make no sense and quickly get fed up with trying to find excellent domain names to buy. When searching for domain names on ebay, you need to start your search somewhere and for me it is searching for domain names starting at the highest price.

Theres nothing worse than having to scroll down the ebay pages, trying to find good domain names for sale at a price that is right for the market or right for your domain name investing budget.

So if you are a Domain Name owner, don’t go listing your domain names for sale at 10 million dollars, if you feel it is indeed worth listing at high price, get a free domain name appraisal from one of the many domain name forums that are available to join.

No matter what I say, these listings will just continue, more domain name newbies will see these prices and just clog up the ebay domain name auctions, making it harder and harder to find good domain names for sale.
